BUILDING HISTORY (centuries XVII-XX) by Raffaele Ridolfi

This buildings located in the territory referred as “Ferraresi property” have very ancient constructive origins. Pope Innocent X gave them to Francesco Estense Tassoni in 1650, noble of Modena and Ferrara, as well as governor of ancona, for his services. All the lands and the homes were in use paying four golden ducats to the Holy See.
Since then the “property” is always present in registers known as “ Catasto Carafa” of 1779, “Teresiano” of 1784 and it’s present in the Napoleonic and austriac registers of the 8th Century, too. In the 7th century the Turola family owned this property. They were citizens of Ostiglia in the 7th Century and at the end of this Century they lived in Mantua. A figure to remember was Pietro Paolo, benefactor of Ostiglia’s hospital.
